Is Jumbo the Way to Go? This rose is available in a Jumbo Bareroot size. Ideal for gardeners who hate to wait, jumbo bareroots have a considerable head start over our standard #1 size.

Jumbo bareroot benefits:

  • Field grown 2-3 times the size of standard #1 bareroot
  • You'll receive a hefty bareroot with 6-9 "flower ready" canes
  • 50% more blooms in the first year, guaranteed

An excellent addition to any landscape or flower bed, Arctic Blue™ is a beautiful Floribunda type that bears fully double, fragrant, lavender-pink blooms that feature a creamy white reverse, giving them an elegant Victorian look and feel. This profusion of uniquely colored flowers sits against a background of large, dark leaves that make the blooms even more pronounced in the landscape. Arctic Blue is drought tolerant and exhibits impressive performance in the garden, as well as an outstanding resistance to disease. Butterflies and other pollinators love this rose, both for its scent and color. An ideal variety for cutting gardens and borders, or as a privacy screen when planted in a group. The 4-5' height makes Arctic Blue the perfect choice for surrounding a secret garden in the backyard. Bred by Christian Bedard. Rosa cv. 'WEKblufytirar' PPAF

  • planting instructionsDig a hole large enough to easily accommodate root structure. Place a small 'hill' of soil at the bottom of the hole. Place the plant at the proper height in the hole, and fill two-thirds full with soil. Using a gentle stream of water, fill the remainder of the hole. As the water seeps in, it will moisten the roots and surrounding soil, removing any air pockets. After the water has settled, fill hole to the top with the remaining soil. Sprinkle lightly with water to assure good moisture.
  • pruningOn established plants removing spent blooms will encourage more flowers. Prune dramatically in early spring, after the danger of frost has passed and before new growth has begun
